A fiber internet service provider is moving its corporate headquarters from Georgia to Alabama. Point Broadband in Opelika is expanding its local footprint from just a provider to a new community-based business!
Let’s keep the good news rolling! When all is said and done, Point Broadband in Opelika will create about 25 new jobs for local residents. Initially, the company will lease office space as final site preparations are in progress.
Once the official headquarters opens, new employment opportunities will be advertised. The company decided to make the move from nearby West Point, Ga., thanks to incentives the City of Opelika offered.
However, Point Broadband is no stranger to the community. In fact, the company technically began operating in Opelika toward the end of 2018. At the time, it bought out Opelika’s fiber telecommunications business known as OPS ONE.
